Yesterday at the American Library Association (ALA) conference,

books/authors winning the major book awards were announced. For the time

being, though the American Indian Library Association (AILA) is an

affiliate of ALA, the AILA awards are not announced along with the other

awards. I believe AILA is working on that. In the meantime, AILA also

selects outstanding books and gives a Youth Literature Award. <br><br>
