American Conference on Diversity, in cooperation with the Peter Sammartino
School of Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and with funding from
the Wachovia Foundation, is pleased to present the <b>2009 Educators’
Institute <span style='color:black'>“Reaching and Teaching Immigrant
Students” </span></b>focusing on the factors and issues impacting <span
style='color:black'>immigrant </span>students in the classroom. <b>Open
to <span style='color:black'>all </span>teachers, administrators, counselors,
educators and other individuals interested in building more inclusive and
affirming classrooms and educational environments</b>, the Educators’
Institute will afford participants the opportunities to explore and develop
strategies to effectively navigate diversity issues in schools. Each
Educators’ Institute course series lasts two full days and participants
will <b>receive 12 CEU hours upon completion of <u>both</u> days of an
Educators’ Institute session.<span style='color:black'> </span></b><span
style='color:black'>The registration fee for the Educators’ Institute is
only $65 and it covers all training materials, handouts and meals (breakfast
and lunch). In addition, each participant will receive a complimentary
copy of <i>“Rethinking Our Classrooms: Teaching for Equity and Social
Justice,”</i> a Rethinking Schools Publication <u>and</u> <i>“Planning
to Change the World: A Plan Book for Social Justice Teachers,”</i> an
