Those of you who watched the news last night saw
the furor over Harry Reid's remarks about Barack
Obama, and William Steele's use of "Honest Injun."
I know the phrase "Honest Injun" and "Injun"
appear in a lot of children's books, so took an
hour of my time this morning to note a few examples.
I was really surprised to find it in the new book
THE EVOLUTION OF CALPURNIA TATE.
