Dear Shana,
I am writing to you from India. I wonder if you have heard of the Center for
Ecoliteracy in California and Zenobia Barlow, its co-founder (with physicist
Fritzof Capra), and present Director?
I attended a video-show and seminar Zenobia held in Udaipur India, following
a conference she attended on global green education in Bhutan. I have known
about their work a while, but this was the first time I learned more about
it first hand. It is very impressive work. We hope to work with them in
India.
They are at the David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Suite 270, Berkley,
CA 94704-1377. Tele 510-845-4595, email: zenobia at ecoliteracy.org (this note
is cc-d to her), and web: www.ecoliteracy.org.
They have been doing wonderful work in green education/school design for
years, and may be able to connect you with cohorts worldwide. We are hoping
to work with them here in Udaipur, India, where I am presently developing
one part of the work of the Big Medicine Charitable Trust, called Greening
Indian Education.
Do let me know how it goes, and if this was helpful.
Best Wishes,
Premilla Dixit
Director, BMCT
Udaipur, India
