[RSCT] school design and educational philosophy

hello,

i direct an alternative high school program for teens who have dropped out of high school and we're in the midst of working with architects to design our new classroom space in a green building.  

i'm wondering if anyone out there has resources about school design that reflects a small school, project-based educational philosophy.  Or anything about school design and separately anything about educational philosophy that would be accessible to high school students.
