Open-Rank Professor in Language and Literacy Education
The Department of Education Studies in the College of Education at the University of Oregon (UO) is seeking to fill an open-rank tenure-track professor position in Language and Literacy Education for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Classrooms.
Qualifications include: Doctorate in education or a related field; Demonstrated expertise in literacy education with an emphasis in one or more of the following areas: reading comprehension, reading to learn content, critical literacy, multi-media or new media literacy, literacy and technology, foundations of literacy education, and/or literacy assessment; Evidence of sustained inquiry on literacy education for culturally and linguistically diverse classroom populations; Evidence of a commitment to addressing social justice issues in research on language and literacy education that supports multiliteracy and multicultural education outcomes.
