[RSCT] Readings?

Hey Folks,
I'm putting together my summer syllabus, and wanted to know if you  
have any suggestions of current (last few years) articles or chapters  
that are engaging and accessible to teachers that address the  
following two topics:

1) Language, Cultural, Citizenship dilemmas for Latina/o K-12 students
2) Resistance, Reform efforts, culturally relevant education in K-12  
(something inspiring!)
