The new topic for comment on Duncan's blog is on rural education - go to http://www.edgovblogs.org/duncan/2009/05/secretary-arne-duncan-takes-listening-tour-to-vermont-invites-comments-on-rural-education/ and you can link to the space to insert your comments
I have scanned sections of the previous topic, standards, and would say that about one of every three, or more, criticized the damage caused by high-stakes testing. Will Duncan listen?
And many rural education activists recognize the damage testing causes to education in rural communities. The Rural Agenda education section criticized the testing; Rural Education and Community Trust has also spoken out on the issue. If you are involved in rural education, add your voice.
