SAN FRANCISCO - U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will visit The City on Friday to meet with Mayor Gavin Newsom, educators, community leaders and policymakers. Duncan will participate in the California Mayor's Education Roundtable, hosted by Newsom, to discuss what the federal stimulus plan means for local cities and school districts. Prior to Duncan's appointment by President Barack Obama, he was the CEO of Chicago Public Schools.
