[RSCT] ESOL-Mex Summer Program in Morelia, Mexico

Esteemed Colleagues:



Western Oregon University is pleased to announce the ESOL-Mex Summer
Program! We will offer two ESOL (English for Speakers of Other
Languages) courses in the colonial city of Morelia, Michoacán (Mexico).
These courses are open to pre-service and in-service teachers
interested in working with English Language Learners; undergraduate and graduate credit is available. Students can also enroll in leveled Spanish classes.



First 3-week session: July 4th – July 26th

ED 488/588 Cultural and Community in ESOL/Bilingual Classrooms

Professor: Dr. Alejandra Favela, Lewis & Clark College



Second 3-week session: July 27th – August 16th

ED 489/589 Language Acquisition & Linguistics in ESOL/Bilingual Classrooms

Professor: Dr. Karie Mize, Western Oregon University



Application deadline: 

March 30th, 2009



Cost: 

3-week session (one ESOL course and 20 hours of Spanish): $2,465.00

6-week session (two ESOL courses and 40 hours of Spanish): $4,510.00



The cost of the program includes tuition, study abroad insurance, and
home-stays.  Airfare and personal expenses are not included.
