Dear Rethinking Schools Members,

conference on social justice education, is almost here! The last day to
register online is Monday, June 22. After that date, if you want to
register, you will have to do so on site. However, activities are filling up
quickly. We have two that are already full. So please register soon! And
encourage your friends and colleagues to do the same. Please visit

In addition, the last day to order a conference t-shirt online at the
discount rate of $15 is Thursday, June 18. We also must receive payment for
the t-shirt by the day. So if you ordered a t-shirt and are planning to pay
by check, please put your check in the mail today. After that date if you
want to purchase a t-shirt you will have to do so on site for $18. Visit

the t-shirt design.

Free Minds, Free People is a national conference that brings together
teachers, high school and college students, researchers, parents and
community-based activists/educators from across the country to build a
movement to develop and promote Education for Liberation. The goal of the
conference is to provide a forum for sharing knowledge, experiences and
strategies to help students understand and challenge the injustices their
communities face. It will take place in Houston, TX from June 25 to 28.

Hope to see you in Houston.

Tara
