Dear Rethinking Schools and NYCORE friends,

Many you have probably seen Annie Leonard's valuable (and student-friendly)
short film, The Story of Stuff. It's available free online, if you have not
had a chance to see this: http://www.storyofstuff.org/ Leonard has a new
film out critiquing cap and trade as a strategy to address greenhouse gas
emissions. It's hard to make cap and trade interesting and accessible, but
Leonard does it in this film: http://storyofstuff.com/capandtrade/.

The capitalist market is the key cause of climate changing greenhouse gas
emissions, so why would we rely on that same market as the climate salvation,
as pushed by cap and trade prponents? Leonard explores this issue with
humor and simplicity.
