Hello there,
My name is Kendra PeloJoaquin, and I recently enrolled at Prescott
College elementary ed program. The college is in Arizona, but I'll be
staying here in Boston and co-creating my education with mentors here in a
process that Prescott calls "Community Based Education". (See more about
this unusual program here.)
<http://www.prescott.edu/academics/adp/how.html>Part of my
responsibility will be to identify mentors for each class I'll
take over the next two years. I moved to this area in the last year and am
currently teaching at a preschool that's inspired by the teachers and
schools of Reggio Emilia, and I coordinated and taught the school-age
program at Hilltop Children's Center in Seattle for four years.
At my orientation at the end of the month, I'll get more instruction about
how to formally identify and approach mentors, but I thought that this
listserve might be a great place to start. If you or anyone you know could
find time to mentor me for a semester or two, please drop me a line.
Thank you,
Kendra PeloJoaquin
