[RSCT] Request for information

[Tema Okun]

I am participating in a workgroup here in Durham, NC that is doing the  
preliminary research for a potential organizing project focused on  
public schools. We've been asked to look at organizations in other  
parts of the country that are doing interesting/important work around  
education, either those dedicated solely to education, or those having  
educational campaigns or work groups. We're specifically interested in  
what we can learn from those who are working to make public schools  
more accountable to working class and/or poor communities. If you can  
point us in the right direction, I/we would be grateful. Thank you, Tema
