John Merrow's Learning Matters has assembled a web site containing brief interviews with dozens of people providing advice on education, general and more targeted, to the next president. They just posted mine, so I am near the top. Available at http://www.merrow.org/ed_advice/ - they are not transcribed, you have to listen (no video). I actually talked about 3 points - opportunity to learn, improving schools, and high-quality assessment. They include only the first point, following an introductory section framing of all 3.
